Where are the 20 Concordes now?
Question
Where are the 20 Concordes now?
Answer
Only 20 Concordes were ever built, and they are now distributed across museums and display sites worldwide. One Concorde is permanently displayed at IWM Duxford as part of the British Airliner Collection, where visitors can climb onboard daily from 10:30am till 3pm with a free timed ticket.
The other Concordes are located at various aviation museums including the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York, the Museum of Flight in Seattle, the National Museum of Flight in Scotland, Air France Museum in Paris, and several other locations in the UK, France, and around the world. The Concorde was designed and built to fly at twice the speed of sound and could fly from London to New York in just under 3 hours. The aircraft at Duxford represents one of the finest examples of supersonic passenger aviation technology and remains a highlight for visitors to experience the interior of this engineering marvel.
