About This Aircraft
The Westland Lysander was a British army co-operation and liaison aircraft used immediately before and during the Second World War. It was known for its STOL capabilities and was famously used for clandestine operations, transporting agents into occupied Europe. V9673 is a Mk.III(SD) variant.
