About This Aircraft

The Hunting Percival Pembroke C.1 was a British twin-engine light transport aircraft that served with the Royal Air Force. WV746 is a C.1 variant. The Pembroke was developed from the earlier Percival Prince and Sea Prince, featuring a longer wingspan and strengthened undercarriage. Powered by two Alvis Leonides radial engines, the Pembroke was used for communications, light freight, and passenger transport duties. A key feature was its ability to be fitted for an aerial survey role with a clear nose panel and camera hatches. The Pembroke served with the RAF in various locations around the world, including Germany and the Far East, from the early 1950s until its retirement in 1988.
