The Panavia Tornado GR.1 was a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing combat aircraft developed jointly by the UK, Germany, and Italy. The GR.1 was the RAF's interdictor/strike version, capable of low-level penetration attacks. ZA465 served with No. 12 Squadron and participated in the Gulf War.
