About This Aircraft
The de Havilland Devon C.2/2A, VP952, is the military transport version of the successful de Havilland Dove civilian airliner. It served as a reliable communications and light transport aircraft for the Royal Air Force for many decades. Powered by two de Havilland Gipsy Queen inline piston engines, the Devon could accommodate up to eight passengers in comfort. Its low-wing design and tricycle undercarriage made it a stable and easy-to-handle aircraft.
